Shel Piercy

Storyteller extraordinaire, Shel Piercy is a multiple award winning Canadian writer, director and producer. He has spent the last 2 decades crafting more than 20 projects amounting to over a hundred hours of broadcast programming.

He recently added Feature Film Director to his considerable resume when he completed his debut feature film ALMOST HEAVEN, a delightful romantic comedy populated with quirky characters and filmed in the majestic Scottish Borders region. The film stars Donal Logue of ABC's KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY and Academy Award nominee Tom Conti.

Shel's documentaries transport us from the sultry and sizzling Tango clubs of Argentina (CHASING THE TANGO HIGH) to ringside seats in Vegas (GIRLS DON'T FIGHT). From the sun baked bleachers of Olympic Seoul (BEN JOHNSON, DRUGS AND THE QUEST FOR GOLD) to the bleak and chilling extermination camps of Auschwitz (LEO'S JOURNEY: THE STORY OF THE MENGELE TWINS) and the fiery bullet riddled skies of 1940's London (GUINEA PIG CLUB). And for every step of every journey he takes us on we are in his thrall. He has a unique ability to cut through the clutter and the distractions to find the very heart of every tale. To show us our incredible frailty, our unquenchable humor and our awe-inspiring power. In short he holds a mirror to our humanity.

Every Infinity Films project strives for excellence and over the years Shel's projects have amassed a number of awards: 5 Leos, 4 New York Festival awards, a Gemini Award, 2 Banff World Television Festival Awards, a Silver Telly Award, Two Can Pro Awards and 3 Gold Mobius Advertising Awards.
