Bio

KEVIN M. HORTON grew up in Shoreview, Minnesota, and participated in many plays, musicals, and concerts through his church, school, and community theatre. By sixth grade, Horton was lead soprano in his middle school choir, and landed the starring role in a professional production of the classical opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors.â€� His performance was noticed by a talent agent in Minneapolis who flew Horton to New York to compete in the International Modeling and Talent Association’s (IMTA) worldwide convention. He won seven different awards including “1998 Male Preteen Talent of the Year.â€� He kept busy while attending Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, MN where he lettered in theater, speech team, and student council. Horton’s professional career began when he shot a number of national commercials and industrial films for major corporations throughout the Midwest. He also joined two national concert tours acting as kid’s comedian “Jumpy McJumpersonâ€� with the popular children’s band Go Fish. Currently, he is in his third year on a national tour of “The Queen of Bingo,â€� an improv-based comedy show. At age of eighteen, Horton, who is also a drummer, moved to LA where, in 2006, he made his prime-time television premiere, guest-starring on the hit show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Since then, Horton has appeared on many hit series such as Ned’s Declassified: School Survival Guide for Nickelodeon and Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney Channel. In 2008, he made his feature film debut starring in the thriller Big Game, with C. Thomas Howell. He also had a major part in the award-winning comedic short Alive and Well starring Neil Flynn. Most recently, Horton was the lead in the teen comedy Devolved, a modern day farce on Lord of the Flies, starring Chris Kattan, Lindsey Shaw, and Robert Adamson.
