Cindy Busby

Bio

CINDY BUSBY was born and raised in Montreal. Growing up, Busby always dreamed of becoming an actress, devoting herself to every school theatre production. This dream became a reality when she was accepted into the Professional Theatre program at Dawson College in Montreal for a rigorous three year training. Busby’s career exploded with performances alongside some impressive names as Shiri Appleby and Chris Potter in Thrill of the Kill (2006), Killer Wave (2007) starring Karine Vanasse, A Life Interrupted (2007) starring Lea Thompson and based on Debbie Smith’s true story, Let the Game Begin, starring Thomas Ian Nicholas and Adam Rodriguez and more recently she appeared in the American teen comedy Picture This, starring Ashley Tisdale. Busby is also a series regular on the CBC hit series Heartland, which won the AMPIA prize in 2008 for Best Dramatic Series. Cindy plays Ashley Stanton, the rich competitive horse back rider who rivals with the series lead, Amy Fleming. Busby recently completed filming the second season in Calgary, Alberta in 2008. She currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
