Synopsis

Acclaimed director Frank Henenlotter (“Basket Case,” “Brain Damage,” “Frankenhooker”) is back with a twisted tale of love and weirdness. Driven by biological excess, a young man and woman search for sexual fulfillment, unaware of each other’s existence. Unfortunately, they eventually meet, and the bonding of these two very unusual human beings ends in an explosive and ultimately over-the-top sexual experience, resulting in a truly godawful love story… With bizarre special effects by Gabe Bartalos, a hip-hop soundtrack from Grammy winner producer Prince Paul, and shot in glorious 35mm, BAD BIOLOGY is guaranteed to shock even the most desensitized of audiences, and sure to become a modern cult classic.

Bloody Disgusting Gives Bad Biology 4.5 Skulls

Bloody Disgusting has posted a rave review for Bad Biology, awarding it four and a half our of a possible five skulls. Critic Michael Panduro goes on to say that the film is 'the movie is neither as stupid, nor as messy as it sounds.' Panduro also credits the film as being 'bizarre, ironic and extremely funny'.

The review also praises director Frank Henenlotter's "flare for storytelling and rhythm, as well as technical understanding that sets (his) work apart from most of the American low-budget horror-scene."

Bad Biology to screen at Fantasia Film Festival

Fangoria has announced that 'Bad Biology' will be screening at the 12th annual Fantasia Film Festival taking place from July 3-21 in Montreal. With over 100 genre films, it is the largest festival of it's kind in North America.

Variety's Analysis of the movie Bad Biolody

Variety has posted a review of Frank Henenlotter's 'Bad Biology'. The film marks the directors return to cinema after a 16 year break. Horror fans will remember him from the 'Basket Case' trilogy.

The "Basket Case" Returns(?): Interview With Frank Henenlotter

Film Threat has posted an interview with filmmaker Frank Henelotter. Famous for his horror comedy 'Basket Case' made in 1982, 'Bad Biology' is his first film in sixteen years. Henenlotter is quick to dismiss the film as a comeback, saying that one film doesn't mean he's back. He also talks about how much he enjoyed working on the film.

"...When we were making "Bad Biology," every minute of the film we were laughing, cackling, and saying to ourselves, "I can't wait until people see this thing." This keeps you going. Once you are making something and you have to say, "Boy, this is the same old thing," what do you do then?..."
