Ray Liotta

Bio

The New Jersey native began acting while a student at the University of Miami. Liotta credits working on the stage and in musicals with helping to shape him as a performer and with over 25 feature films under his belt, Ray Liotta has shown diversity in his roles, whether it be comedies such as Corrina, Corrina (1994), and Heartbreakers (2001) to thrillers like Hannibal (2001), Unlawful Entry (1992) and No Escape (1994). Perhaps the film that brought Liotta his most widespread acclaim is Martin Scorcese's Academy Award wilming Goodfellas (1990). Other films include Slow Burn (2005), Even Money (2006), Smokin Aces (2006), and Comeback Season (2006). He recently fmished filming Crossing Over (2007) costarring Harrison Ford and Sean Penn and will be seen in Jerry Seinfeld's The Bee Movie (2007). Liotta is currently filming Powder Blue (2008). Liotta has also received acclaim for his work in other mediums. His portrayal of Frank Sinatra in HBO's The Rat Pack (1998) garnered Liotta a Screen Actors Guild nomination. He has also appeared as himself on NBC's Just Shoot Me. In the video game world, he voiced the main character, Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto (2002). Liotta made his Broadway debut in the spring of 2004 opposite Frank Langella, in Ste1hen Belber' s Match, for which he received a Distinguished Performance honor at the 70 Annual Drama League Awards.
