Interview: Battle in Seattle Director Stuart Townsend

Townsend shares his interest in globalization, and the kind of research he did for the film. "Battle in Seattle" was shot in 29 days, and Townsend light-heartedly describes it as "military operation", with no divas on set and great energy throughout. Townsend also discusses the message: how anyone can make a difference.
"...It's a people power movie. I think everyone doesn't feel like they're being listened to. Most people feel like they can't make a difference. It was really a diverse collection of regular Americans, who shut down the world's most powerful trade organization. It really made a difference. I think when you're tactical about things, and you join together, you can make a difference, and that's the message..."
