Filmmaker Stuart Townsend eager to screen "Battle" at SIFF
Published on: May 22, 2008The Seattle Times has posted an interview with 'Battle In Seattle' director Stuart Townsend. The film, based on the 1999 World Trade Organization riots in Seattle, will open the Seattle International Film Festival tonight. He talks about watching the riots on TV, screening the film in his hometown of Dublin, as well as having activists from the WTO riots watch the film.
"I saw that they appreciated what I was trying to do. They didn't criticize me for the things I left out. They just appreciated where I was going and what I was doing."
