The Montreal Gazette ran an interview with Battle In Seattle director Stuart Townsend. He discusses his interest in the Seattle protests as well as what inspired him to make the move from actor to director.
"I was so fed up with acting at the time. It seems like unless you're willing to do romantic comedies or a superhero movie, you're not going to get that much work - and the work I was doing just didn't reflect who I was or what I wanted to become in this business," says Townsend.
