Julie Lott Gallo

Julie Lott Gallo

Julie Lott Gallo was born and raised in Orange County, California, and began modeling and pursuing acting shortly after graduating from college. She moved to Los Angeles and landed a job managing one of the largest theatrical motion picture trailer companies in Hollywood -- Aspect Ratio -- for five years. After acting in several films such as 29TH STREET, THREE OF HEARTS, and TV films such as BREAKING THE SILENCE and ANOTHER MIDNIGHT RUN, she became tired of reading for parts of hookers and victims of Hollywood slashers. She decided to focus on producing, and found her true love.

Her first film as a producer was the highly acclaimed MOST HIGH, which won the coveted Golden Starfish Award, swept the Chicago Indie Fest with five top honors, and also won the Prism Award and the Grand Jury Award at the Atlanta Film Festival. This was followed by the award winning LOCAL COLOR, which garnered the Discovery Film Award and Outstanding Directing Award at the Sedona International Film Festival. It was at this festival that LOCAL COLOR was discovered by Dan Harkins, owner and CEO of Harkins Theatres. LOCAL COLOR also won the three top honors at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.

Julie most recently produced the film MY MOM'S NEW BOYFRIEND, starring Antonio Banderas, Meg Ryan, Colin Hanks, Selma Blair, and Trevor Morgan. She played a cameo in the film as an Albanian belly dancer. She has several new projects that are about to start filming in the fall.
"Being a producer has given me more insights into acting, and vice versa," says Lott Gallo. Being able to bring a movie as heartfelt as LOCAL COLOR to audiences and genuinely affecting them on a deep level has been the most rewarding experience I can imagine ever having."
