Laura Bertram
Laura Bertram has had the good fortune of working in the Canadian television industry for nearly half of her life. She grew up on the teen series READY OR NOT, which provided her with two Gemini Awards and four nominations. Another Gemini nomination was earned for her role in Bruce MacDonald’s CBC movie PLATINUM. In addition to this she has credits from the likes of such Canadian Shows as ROAD TO AVONLEA, WIND AT MY BACK, TWITCH CITY, and more recently, a regular character role on Gene Rodenberry’s ANDROMEDA, which gave her a nomination for a LEO award. Dressing up for the ball in Ross Petty’s Pantomime production of Cinderella was nothing short of a thrill, one that she certainly hopes to revisit. In between all of this she graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours’ Degree in History, and has backpack through most of Western Europe, Australia, and Latin America. Now living in Vancouver, Laura hopes to be able to continue working in the industry that has won her heart and stomped on it and won it over again… after all, isn’t that what an artist’s life is all about?
