Colleen Nystedt
Colleen Nystedt, founder of New City Group, produced City Boy, her first independent feature film in 1992, after five years as a freelance production manager and line producer. Nystedt’s steadfast determination and creative inspiration led her to found the original New City Productions, which she sold in 2000.
Utilizing Vancouver-based production expertise and Canadian-based financing. New City ’s predecessor became one of the most prolific production companies in Western Canada through a combination of original production, service and co-production deals. Nystedt has produced or supervised production on numerous feature films and TV movies for Universal Pictures, Paramount , MGM, CBS, NBC, ABC, Showtime and Lifetime Networks.
