Crossing

Roger Evan Larry's new film Crossing is a deft, quirky thriller laced with sex, blackmail and gender bending glamour. At times comical, romantic, erotic, suspenseful and shot in a gritty but elegant film noir style, the story revolves around tough-guy Daniel Cimmerman (Sebastian Spence, "Dawson's Creek"�, "First Wave,"�), a gangster who is trying to legitimize the family business. As Daniel gets deeper into his criminal dealings he discovers through a bizarre, near fatal encounter, his affinity for the thrills and perils of cross-dressing. Embroiled in a wild affair with Davina, (the beautiful Crystal Buble, "Cold Squad,"� "Donovan Life"�, sister of crooner Michael Buble) a blackmailing call girl, he must find his way through a maze of disgrace and pleasure to discover where his real loyalties lie. "Crossing"� also features Fred Ewanuick ("Corner Gas"�, "Santa Clause II"�) as a wisecracking mob man and revered Canadian rocker Bif Naked as a homicidal, trans-gendered thug.

Crossing, already garnering rave advance reviews, is set for a limited theatrical release in select Canadian cities starting on Friday April the 20th 2007 at The Carlton in Toronto and Friday April 20th at The Fifth Avenue in Vancouver and will be distributed by Equinoxe Films (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). The First Weekend Club is sponsoring the film across Canada. Crossing has already been sold to over 21 countries worldwide. Crossing also won Silver at top US Fest Cinequest, for best first feature film.

The soundtrack to Crossing, which has just been released by Warner Music Canada, includes an original Bif Naked track, "My Greatest Masterpiece"�; as well as standout tracks by multi platinum selling artist Michael Buble, Sarah Slean, Buck 65, Champion, Lester, Oh Susanna, Philosopher Kings and Swollen Members featuring Nelly Furtado.

Crossing is the debut film from writer/director Roger Evan Larry. Larry's previous projects include "Tested"�, the award winning "Knocking on Heaven's Door"� and the just released comic web series Donovan Life which features Crossing stars Crystal Buble and Sebastian Spence. He has also worked with an impressive list of music video clients including The Tragically Hip, Maestro Fresh Wes and Bif Naked.
