Synopsis
A gritty MMA fighter is forced into a twisted, underground gambling ring in which he must fight to the death with other MMA fighters in order to save his wife from certain death at the hands of a maniacal crime boss. In a desperate race against time, he is forced into a series of increasingly violent life and death matches while simultaneously piecing together the puzzle which leads him to uncover the identity of the promoter and the ultimate showdown, in which there can only be one Death Warrior.

Evans Gets Bitten By Acting Bug in Death Warrior

Rashad Evans made his acting debut in the movie “Death Warrior.” He admits that he was bitten by the acting bug, but he doesn’t see himself quitting fighting anytime soon.Rashad Evans learned a little something about how difficult it is to be an actor when he was filming the movie “Death Warrior.”
The former UFC light heavyweight champion learned that throwing fake punches can just be as difficult as throwing a real punch.”
“I didn’t think (acting) would be hard,” Evans admitted.
The movie was Evans’ acting debut, and he said that he has been bitten by the acting bug. He has already signed on to do another project with the executive producer, writer and actor in the film, Hector Echavarria.
Evans is just one of many mixed martial artist featured prominently in the Lionsgate film, which was released on DVD on Dec. 1. The others involved: Evans’ teammates Georges St. Pierre and Keith Jardine, and Evans’ rival coach from “The Ultimate Fighter” Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Congratulations to Kevin Mattson, Winner of ‘MMA Movie Star’ Video Contest!
Kevin’s performance working the heavy bag while upside down in gravity boots won this tattooed (and cut) Grandpa the role in MMA-powered action film Beatdown.
He’ll join the Beatdown production in Austin, Texas on Dec. 11th for a climactic fight scene with other cast members including Michael Bisping (MMA), Bobby Lashley (WWE), Danny Trejo (Planet Terror, Fanboys, The Expendables), Rudy Youngblood (Apocalypto) and Eric Balfour (Spread, Horsemen).

His only option is to literally fight his way out of this predicament.
