Synopsis
Nick Halladay had it all but he wanted more….sex, drugs and gambling had a price and Nick knew where there was plenty of easy cash. Marta, his girlfriend, had other ideas and the two set off on a spree running drugs and robbing banks. Did the FBI catch Nick or the DEA catch Marta or did the modern day Bonnie and Clyde bite off more than they could chew in the disco balled, drug rich underworld of 70’s Florida?
The year is 1979, Miami disco chic is de rigueur, Bjorn Borg is a tennis household sensation and Nick Halliday holds the record for the longest run of unsolved bank heists (13) hauling in 25 times the average ($100K) per raid. Technically Nick never got caught! His audacious raids, carried out on a motorcycle, were matched only by his mounting gambling debt that Marta, his girlfriend, was paying down by running drugs from Colombia and Panama with her accomplice, Jenny Conger. Nick’s pride over Marta’s actions was the catalyst for his bank raid endeavours but, just at the point where the FBI set up a huge net to catch Nick, he switched crimes and supported Marta in taking on bigger hauls of drugs. Something went horribly wrong and Nick got compromised in a huge twist that will have the audience gasping. In a parallel plot-line, the FBI agent trying to catch Nick was married to the local news anchor who was constantly badgering the agent for the inside scoop feeling that her husband’s lack of knowledge was actually him holding out on her. This high-octane drama is as thrilling as the bike chases that make for Nick’s escape.
