Synopsis

"Eagle Eye" is a race-against-time thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations – using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening – and more importantly, why.

    Movies.ie has caught up with 'Eagle Eye' director D.J. Caruso. Caruso talks about how he initially got involved with Spielberg and how well he responded to the film's concept of uncertainty. Caruso also talks about the technical requirements, the casting process and how well Shia played his role. 'Eagle Eye' is out in theaters.

    "...We had many technical consultants on the film. We had people involved in super computing and processing. We had FBI computer cyber terrorists working with us telling us how cyber terrorists have hacked into systems and what they can do. We had about 5 or 6 experts helping us, particularly in the script phase..."

Caruso also talks about Shia BLeBeouf, an actor he describes as 'expressive' and an actor who 'always acts the truth'. 'Eagle Eye' is out in theaters.

    The Gazette has sat down with Shia LeBeouf about his latest blockbuster 'Eagle Eye'. LeBeouf talks about working with his best friend, 'Eagle Eye' director DJ Caruso, shooting at the Pentagon, and Steven Spielberg. 'Eagle Eye' is about two strangers who recieve a life threatening phone call- leading them to have to fend for their lives and discover not only who is putting them throught this but why. 'Eagle Eye' is out in theaters.

    " I remember saying to Steven: 'What does it feel like to wake up and be a genius? What's it like to look in the mirror and know that you're one of the most forward thinkers that this world has ever had?' He said 'I don't think of myself in that way'. I said 'Really? How could you not be informed by other people's opinions and he said 'I don't validate myself on other people's opinions of me. If I did I'd be crazy'. He's just a cool guy. He's a cool, normal guy. Well as normal as someone can be at that level..."
