Bio

Chicago born and raised, multi-hyphenate MICHAEL EMANUEL is a familiar face and the quintessential everyman. An award-winning actor/producer/writer, Emanuel has appeared in numerous feature films, television shows and hundreds of national TV commercials.

Emanuel is the star and producer of the cult hit, multi-award winning feature film titled LUCKY. In addition to LUCKY, he can been seen in a wide variety of roles in films such as OUTBREAK, BLUE CHIPS, THE SIXTIES, INVASION, ABOUT SARAH, to name a few. He recently wrapped starring roles in the Showtime Original feature film titled THE GOOD HUMOR MAN with Kelsey Grammer and Jorge Garcia, the independent thriller titled GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN with Brooke Shields and Scott Glenn and a starring role in the arthouse hit HAPPY HOLIDAYS. He also has just wrapped a vital supporting role in the indie psychological thriller THE UNINVITED.

On television, Michael can be seen weekly in the hit ABC drama THE NINE as Tom Mitchell. He also has guest starred in shows such as ER, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, THE SUM OF US (Lifetime Pilot), MONK, THREAT MATRIX, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, PASSIONS, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, MANHATTAN AZ., BLACK SCORPION, PACIFIC BLUE, YOU WISH, and BEVERLY HILLS 90210.

Michael has an extensive theatrical resume, including the plays, THE ELEPHANT MAN, E/R, OF MICE AND MEN, REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT and others. With a gifted comedic flair, he has studied and/or performed with such legendary comedy/improv groups as Second City, Improv Olympia, The Groundlings, The La Connection, and The Syndicate.

FREE STYLE and THE UNINVITED mark the first two of a slate of ten feature films for Emanuel’s production company Canal Street Films.
