Synopsis
In the romantic comedy "Ghost Town," Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais), is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear) who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni). That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle with spirited result.

Ghost Town, being stand up comedian, Ricky Gervais's very first lead role, tells the story of a man who dies but is remarkebly resurrected with the ability to see ghosts. His people skills leave much to be desired and Betram Pincus finds himself annoyed with his power.
Gervais talks about why he held off on so many roles before accepting Ghost Town, the tailored script and his early involvment in the development of his character. The actor goes on to discuss this generations British comic in Hollywood and how tough it is to keep characters likeable and constantly appealing to the audience. Ghost Town is out for viewing pleasers, now.
