If you grew up in the 80’s watching the G.I Joe cartoon, then I’m betting it doesn’t matter how this movie turns out. You’re going to be seeing it anyways. New poster art of Sienna Miller in her role as The Baroness was revealed to collider.com today. The dramatic image features Miller in a tight black body suit, shooting a pair of revolvers toward the camera view. The highly anticipated GI Joe film hits theaters August 7.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 'won't be political' says producer

UPCOMING action movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra won't be making any references to real-world politics, says producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

He said that despite the film being based on the line of American military action figures, there won't be anything in it that hints at actual US armed forces campaigns such as those in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "This G.I. Joe has nothing to do with American foreign policy. It's about a team of skilled operatives fighting an evil organisation that's trying to take over the world. There are no politics in it at all."

IGN talks to Storm Shadow himself, Byung Hun-Lee. Hun-Lee shares his experience working on G.I. Joe and the akward emotions he felt in the process. He also goes on to describe his character, Storm Shadow, as a proud and honorable ninja - and not to mention mysterious. Hun-Lee also talks about training in martial arts with swords and working with Stephen Sommers. 'G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra' can be expected in theaters August of 2009.

"...When I got the script I saw G.I. Joe, but I still didn't know what it was. When I first met the director Stephen Sommers and the producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura I asked them if they wanted me to watch the cartoons, but they said I didn't have to. And I thought it was better not to watch them, so that maybe I can create a better character. So I didn't watch it..."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks G.I. Joe with Leonard Maltin

Joseph Gordon-Levitt talks to Reelz Channel about his latest role as Cobra Commander in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra". Gordon-Levitt talks about how much fun he had shooting G.I. Joe and how different it is from anything he has done before. Although the actor can not reveal too much about the film he does share it will be a thrill ride and a spectacle for the audience. "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" is set to release August 7 2009.

"...I get to be different people and do different things. I'm lucky, lucky, lucky to be able to do it. And yeah, doing a movie like G.I. Joe after Stop-Loss is just a manifestation of that luck. But while we are talking about G.I. Joe [and] Stop-Loss...they both allude to the military in extremely different ways..."

G.I. Joe Star Joseph Gordon-Levitt Undergoes Transformation For Cobra Commander Role

MTV Movies Blog has posted an interview with 'GI Joe' star Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers and also stars Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Brendan Fraser and Marlon Wayans. Levitt discusses the process he went through to become the 'Cobra Commander Role', including his choice of voice and costume.

"...The cool thing about my character was that it’s not that digital, I get to put hours of prosthetic makeup on and see a different creature altogether. I’ve seen how he looks and it’s really cool..."
