Michael Raven

Michael Raven obtained a Bachelor Degree in History (with honours) from The University of British Columbia in 1995 and received a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of Victoria in 1998, graduating in the top 5% of his class. After law school, he clerked at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Following his clerkship, Mr. Raven was an associate in the Vancouver office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, one of the largest and most respected law firms in Canada. In 2005 Mr. Raven left Blakes to establish a private legal and business consulting practice, which consists of advising private and public companies in industries as diverse as mining, oil and gas, entertainment and technology with respect to corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and private and public financings.
Mr. Raven is currently a director of Arcview Entertainment Inc., which is in the business of film distribution and distribution management. The first film to be distributed by Arcview, entitled Vice, stars Michael Madsen (whose screen credits include Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill) and Daryl Hannah (who has starred in numerous films, including Splash, Clan of the Cave Bear and Kill Bill).
