Pete Smith has been a professional wrestler since the age of 17. Over the last 2 decades, he has toured North America and Japan as an independent professional wrestler under the persona of "Rocket" Randy Tyler. While he began his career as a high-flying "good guy", Pete/Randy has since become one of the most hated "bad guys" in the independent wrestling world, coining the simplistic but effective slogan "I AM BETTER THAN YOU", and flattening many an opponent with his legendary superkick called the "SWEET POTATO PIE". Pete Smith obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1999, a Masters degree from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 1995. At each institution, Mr. Smith finished either at the top or in the top 10% of his class. Upon graduation from UBC Law, Mr. Smith founded and served as president of a publicly traded company before accepting a clerkship at the Supreme Court of Canada for the honorable Justice Louise Arbour. From September 2002 to September 2003, Mr. Smith was an associate with the law firm of Debevoise and Plimpton in New York City, considered to be among the top law firms in the world, where he worked in areas of project financing and public markets. Mr. Smith is currently Vice President of a publicly traded mineral exploration company, and teaches Criminology and Criminal Law at Simon Fraser University.
