James W. Evangelatos

James, or "Jimmy" as his friends know him, grew up in Los Angeles, California. He is the quintessential entrepreneur and risk-taker. Evangelatos has owned restaurants, a resort hotel, apartment complexes, and brokered high-end real estate deals, but has always had a deep passion for the entertainment business.

Evangelatos played football while attending Glendale College. He was so loved and respected that the school created an award aptly named "The Jimmy Evangelatos Award," which is presented each year for enthusiasm, loyalty & spirit. He went on to UCLA, where he was a walk-on member of the football team, as well as a Theatre major. Evangelatos starred in many college productions and realized he had a true love for the entertainment business. After meeting life long pal George Gallo at his restaurant, the two vowed to one day make a film together. LOCAL COLOR is the culmination of this dream.

Evangelatos also executive produced the Indie film MOST HIGH, which won the Golden Starfish Award at the Hampton International Film Festival, the Audience Award, Festival Prize and the Indiefest Vision Award at the Chicago Indiefest, as well as the Prism Award at the Atlanta Film Festival.
Evangelatos lives in Glendale, California, with his wife, Marisa, and three sons, Nikolas, Demetri & Alexander.
