Susan Ferris

Combine a dichotomous upbringing in Boston and the south, a passion for the Red Sox, and a penchant for cigars and you get one Susan Ferris, Partner at Bohemia Entertainment Group and Mob Boss of Long Live Crime Records.

Drawn to the entertainment business as a youth, Susan obtained a BFA from the University of Arkansas in Theater and Film because, you know, that'll get you anywhere. Shortly after graduation in the mid 80s, she decided to switch gears and pursue her love of music. She asked herself, what would David Geffen do? moved to Los Angeles, and accepted an internship with A&M Records. Susan was quickly promoted within the organization and stayed for a couple of years gaining concrete knowledge of the music business on a large scale, corporate level.

Soon, she was ready to get on the road and worked in management for the notorious band Slayer for 2 years.
Wiser, more experienced, and possibly irreversibly damaged from her days with Slayer, Susan decided to reevaluate and ask, What would Susan Ferris do? The answer: everything. In 1992 she made the bold move with a partner to start Bohemia (a successful talent management group), within a few years was also running her own indie record label Long Live Crime Records, and has since birthed another record label as well as a publishing company. Currently, Susan enjoys a functioning workaholic existence in Los Angeles, California.

Susan Ferris and InsideFilms connected originally during Hot in Hollywood 2006, a charitable event which garnered $75,000 for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. As head of Long Live Crime Records, Susan offered to collaborate on the soundtrack for InsideFilms™ IN A DIFFERENT KEY which includes an original filmscore by The Universal Steve, Needledrop by Sparkle Jet, and tracks from the Toadmortons, and Cage 9 (currently in the charts in Japan). Susan's passion for punk rock music and extensive contacts in the industry has fueled her collaboration with Simon to create a visceral tone for LOW GROUNDS. It was her enthusiasm for the project that persuaded Jaz Coleman to sign on, and her working relationship with the label Cooking Vinyl in the UK enables access to artists like Gary Numan that will add dramatically to the success of the filmscore.
