Synopsis
The sequel of the first movie, the New York Zoo Animals, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, still stranded on Madagascar, started to leave the island. All of a sudden, they landed in the wilderness of Africa. There, Alex soon meet the rest of his family and starting to have trouble communicating with them after much of his time at the Central Park Zoo.

Film Interview - Ben Stiller / 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa’
Published on: February 9, 2009The Event Guide has caught up with hollywood heavyweight Ben Stiller. In the smoothed down, far funnier sequel, Stiller's Alex, a lion, finds himself and his three New York Zoo buddies stranded in the wilds of Africa, where he just happens to run into the parents he lost when he was snatched by poachers as a cub. Stiller shares the film is 'certainly something I could relate to' and how his family is made of actors. He also talks about doing improv and monologues with his dad, mother and sister - humour being their family religion. Stiller goes on to share his better feelings with the sequel, and how much more he did with his character. 'Madagascar: Espace 2 Africa' is out in theaters now.
"...I think I'm just about getting the hang of this life now,” finishes Stiller, “and a big part of that is having a family. I grew up in a very tight knit family, and it's something that I need. It puts all this – the work, the box-office, the junkets – into perspective. It makes you not take any of this too seriously. The important stuff is waiting for me at home...”

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Gets Longer Cut for IMAX
Published on: September 9, 2008For those of you who love IMAX, DreamWorks Animation is providing an extended cut of Madagascar: Escape to Africa to all who see the CG-animation in the medium.
Can Mag has posted an article on "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa". Directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath, the sequel features the voices of Ben Stiller, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer and Chris Rock. Coinciding with it's theatrical release, the film will also have an extended cut screening in IMAX theaters.
"...Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa has been extended to include the Thanksgiving holiday, and will now run into December. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) and play for a full run in IMAX(R) theatres, including select new IMAX(R) Digital theatres, which began rolling out this summer..."

Expect One More Madagascar Movie
Published on: August 22, 2008During the presentation of forthcoming 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa', it has been unveiled that another sequel has been planned on the animated comedy.
Ace Show Biz has posted an item on 'Madagascar Escape 2 Africa'. The film will be released in November, and the people at Dreamworks are so excited about it they've already announce a sequel.
"..the studio executive expressed his hope on seeing the zoo animals group back to New York. "Escape 2 Africa is the second chapter in one story," he explained. "There is at least one more chapter. We ultimately want to see the characters make it back to New York...."
