Ira Sachs' latest film 'Married Life' has Memphis inspiration

'We were shooting in Vancouver but in my mind we were in Chickasaw Gardens.'

Commercial Appeal has posted an interview with 'Married Life' director Ira Sachs. He discusses growing up in Memphis, and the diference between shooting a film in his hometown and in Vancouver.

"What I missed about shooting in Memphis was the familial nature of my experience, the support of the city ... afternoons on the porch at Otherlands (a Midtown coffee bar), dinner at my mom's, and working with Linn and Sharon"
