Garwin Sanford

GARWIN SANFORD was born in Nova Scotia and attended Saint Mary's University majoring in Sociology.
Upon leaving University he completed his Private Pilot's license at McClures Flying School in Moncton New Brunswick and then began his Commercial License at Toronto Island Flying School.
Moving to B.C. to finish his training, he started acting and is a proud graduate of Studio 58's Theatre Arts program.
Since graduating he has become one of Vancouver's busiest actors, having performed in over 150 productions of film and television including recurring roles in a dozen television series.
He has been nominated for three best acting awards and has won the 1999 Gemini Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series for Hard Time: The David Milgaard Story and the 2002 Leo Awards, Feature Length Drama: Best Supporting Performance - Male for The Barber (2001)
Taking up sculpting in the last three years, he has been showing and selling his sculptures in galleries and shows around B.C.
This last year finds Garwin involved in the creation of Film Arts at Langara College as he heads the Acting stream of that program.
