Synopsis

Exclusive interview with Patrick Lussier

Moviehole has caught up with director Patrick Lussier on his 3D remake of Canadian horror classic 'My Bloody Valentine'. Lussier talks about how Lionsgate acquired the rights for the film and how he got involved with the project. The director also talks about his cast, bringing some cinema greats back and wether he was involved with anyone from the original film. 'My Bloody Valentine 3D' is out in theaters now.

"...Jaime King auditioned for Sarah Palmer on the first day of auditions, before we even had a finished script. But we could all see how she instantly got the character and how passionate she was about being part of the film. Even though we still auditioned others, they were all held up against Jaime and before long the studio was ready to agree that she was our first and best choice..."

Moviehole has caught up with former fashion model Jaime King. King talks about her role as Sarah Palmer, and how clear it became she woudl take the role after reading the script and meeting director Patrick Lussier. She also talks about spending a lot of time with the director, the physical demands of the movie which included shooting for 18 hours a day, six days a week. King goes on to chat about her transition from modelling to acting, Sin City 2 and directing. 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D' is out in theaters now.

"...tried to make my performance as grounded and as layered as possible, because there's so much gore, and all that other stuff, I knew that part was going to take care of itself. So I spent a lot of time with the director. A lot of time with Kerr and a lot of time annoying the director with five phone calls a day and all my texts and notes, because I wanted to make her as grounded and as real, and as authentic as possible..."

Lionsgate is pleased to announce eBay charitable auctions for five posters from "MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D" signed by Jaime King, Jensen Ackles, Kerr Smith, Edi Gathegi, and Megan Boone. All the proceeds will benefit the The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. All items will be sent with a signed letter verifying their authenticity. Auctions begin today and will continue through the weekend, ending Tuesday, January 20^th, 2009. Interested fans and collectors should be aware there are only a limited amount of posters and items available.
