Bio
Ali-Reza Nusrat is a native of Huntington Beach, CA. The details of his upbringing and his relatively nascent interest in cinema are much too engaging to discuss here. Suffice to say, he graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in May of 2006, earning a BA in cinema production with an emphasis in cinematography. The important things for you to know are that he works hard, he cares immensely about what he is doing and that he loves it when there are cold sodas in the crafty cooler. He currently works as a freelance cinematographer in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA.
Director of Photography- Job Description
A cinematographer who is ultimately responsible for the process of recording a scene in the manner desired by the director. The Director of Photography has a number of possible duties: selection of film stock, cameras, and lenses; designing and selecting lighting, directing the gaffer's placement of lighting; shot composition (in consultation with the director); film developing and film printing.
