Harris Goldberg

Bio

Harris Goldberg was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, a place where you were either: cold, depressed or funny. Harris was blessed with all three. He started doing stand-up at age fourteen, lied and said he was sixteen, years later hosting The Montreal Comedy Festival and appearing on Conan O'Brien as one half of the infamous "Blue Man Ass Group." Mistakenly looking up to his older brother, Daniel, who had written and produced such hit films as "Stripes," "Meatballs," "Junior," Private Parts," Road Trip" and "Old School," Harris gave up his dream as professional tennis player and followed in his brother's footsteps to Los Angeles where he sold his first screenplay within a week, signing as a client with William Morris the week after. Twenty-five studio films later Harris scored some hits of his own writing and producing Deuce Bigalow; Male Gigolo" "The Master Of Disguise," and "Without A Paddle" among others. After something akin to a nervous breakdown, he took a major right turn in 2006 writing the very personal and autobiographical "Numb" which, to his surprise, was quickly financed for him to direct as his first feature film. The project quickly attracted a terrific cast including: Matthew Perry, Mary Steenburgen, Kevin Pollak and Lynn Collins. Through the cathartic and intense process, Harris will tell you his most proud moment was when he heard himself labeled an actor's director." Harris is shooting his second feature this spring.
