Bio
After attended the University of St. Joseph in Moncton, New Brunswick, and New York University School of Commerce, Crawford Hawkins entered the television industry as an apprentice film editor. Since then he has written and produced for television, managed productions and post production facilities. He has distinguished himself as a Director and Producer in both the theatrical and non-theatrical production industries. In 1996-1997, he received the Prime Time Emmy for “The X-Files.”for sound editing. In 1997 he also received the Industry Builder Award from BC Film. In 2001, Crawford gained the Heritage Award from Shavick Entertainment and the next year he garnered a Leo Award for Outstanding Achievement. In 2006, the Directors Guild of Canada honored Crawford with their Distinguished Service Award. Over his career, Crawford Hawkins has worked with Twentieth Century Fox Television; Mandalay Television, Hallmark Entertainment, Cannell Films Ltd., AVR Productions Alliance Atlantis, The Jim Henson Company and Edge Entertainment on the motion pictures such as Alive, Insomnia, Summer of the Monkeys, The Impossible Elephant, Now and Forever, and for television, Medusa’s Child, Neon Rider, The Black Stallion, Lonesome Dove–The Series, The X-Files, Cold Squad and The Fearing Mind.
