Variety has reported on the addition of Christopher Coppola to the cast of Far Cry. He joins Til Schweiger, Emmanuelle Vaugier and Udo Kier in the Uwe Boll film, which began shooting June 13th.

IGN Movies has posted an article about the start of the production of Far Cry. The article goes onto detail the cast and crew involved, including a sound bite from Producer Shawn Williamson."

Til Schweiger has been added as the lead in Uwe Boll's next film, Far Cry. Based on the video game by UbiSoft, Far Cry is the story of Jack Carver, a retired Special Forces Officer who now is transport for hire. He goes through hell when his boat is attacked and destroyed by an unknown party while Val is away. Surviving by the skin of his teeth, he must now find Val and uncover what is truly happening on these dark and mysterious islands. Schweiger will be playing the lead.

The Hollywood Reporter has posted an article about the upcoming production of Uwe Boll's Far Cry.
"...The $25 million screen adaptation of Ubisoft's "Far Cry" game will see Schweiger play the lead role of Jack Carver, a freelance mariner who battles mercenaries and an evil scientist on a Pacific Northwest island."
