• Hayo Miyazaki and John Lasseter talk 'Ponyo'

  Screen Crave had the chance to catch up with master animator Hayo Miyazaki and director John Lasseter at this years Comic-Con to ask them a few questions about their upcoming film Ponyo.
  Ponyo centers around a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human
  In the interview, Lasseter discusses the future of 3-D in Pixar films while Miyazaki talks about the personal and environmental themes within Ponyo and much more.
  
  “…I think Ponyo’s natural strength is connected to the strength of the sea and ocean. I think when you look deep, the strength of people is connected to nature. That is why, when Ponyo reaches land, she uses the strength of the sea to come. It is not really a film about environmental or ecological issues in it, but more so about the strength and the power of nature...”

• An all new Miyazaki masterpiece: Ponyo

  Director and writter Hayao Miyasaki presents an all new adventure sure to sweep audiences away.
  
  Hayao Miyazaki may be best known for his work in the 2002 animated film: Spirited Away. The story of Spirited Away revolved around a ten-year old girl who stumbled upon a supernatural realm because of her parent's curiosity. The film won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and the Japanese Academy's Best Film and Best Song awards.
  
  Ponyo has been referred to as a modern version of the classic tale of the Little Mermaid. The story centers on a baby fish in the sea, Ponyo, who wants to become a human girl. In the pursuit of her goal, she runs away from home and befriends a human boy who she develops a strong friendship with. Ponyo's escape, however, warrants the anger of her father who is determined to find her and bring her home.

• Trailer for Hayao Miyazaki's 'Ponyo' is Here

  Apple has just debuted the trailer for Hayao Miyazaki's next animated feature Ponyo, which is set to hit theaters on August 14 from Walt Disney Pictures. As I am sure all of you know, Miyazaki is the director of such fantastic films as Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro and anytime he delivers a new film it is something of an event for anyone that knows how great his features can be.
