Bio
MARINA DRAGHICI was born in Bucharest Romania Marina emigrated to the US to study at the Yale School of Drama where she received an MFA in costumes and set design.
She has designed over 170 productions for theater, opera and dance.
Her work was featured at the Paris National Opera, Zurich Opera, Lyon Opera, Bordeaux Opera, National Theatre of Prague, Edinborough Festival, New York City Opera, Lincoln Center, the Public Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club and many other venues. She has received a Lucille Lortel Award, Obie Award, Drama Desk Award nomination, John Barrymore Award nomination, Helen Hayes Award nomination and others.
Her film credits include THE GREY ZONE, TWELVE AND HOLDING, HEIGHTS, THE NIGHT LISTENER, THE CAKE EATERS, S.O.P., RAGE, “Dexterâ€� (television).
Her latest credit is costumes and set design for the Broadway musical “Fela!â€�
Costume Designer- Job Description
Person who, in consultation with the director and production designer, designs, creates or acquires all warbrobe and costumes needed for a production. They also ensure that extra sets of cloting in the right sizes are available for stunt and photo doubles and stand-ins.
