Location Manager- Job Description
Secured locations for the approval of the Producer in consultation with the Director, Production Designer and makes all arrangements for same. The LM's duties indluce the coordination of or participation in the following: (a) locating sites, whether through files search or scouting; (b) contracting property owners as an authorized functionary of the Producer; (c) negotiating property rental and use rates between owners and the production company; (d) obtaining necessary permissoin or permits for location sites and location parking from appropriate governmenal authorities; (e) maitaining the negotiated condition and use of the location sites in accordance iwth the rental contract or government permit; (f) consulting on a daily basis with all department heads as required to faciliate the shooting schedule.
