"...I'm in a small group of people that are doing it. But yeah, I feel like a rare commodity for a couple of reasons. [laughs] The young female movies are something that I love dearly, and I've had some success with them. I just keep trying to push the envelope..."

Pants Sequel Gives The Girls Top Billing
Published on: August 12, 2008Since the original, the cast members have found fame The Day Connecticut has posted an article on 'The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2'. Directed by Sanaa Hamri, the film stars Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Amber Tamblyn. The first installment of the film didn't make enough money to guarantee a sequel, but two of the films leads have subsequently gained huge success on TV. America Ferrera recently won an Emmy for 'Ugly Betty' and Blake Lively stars on the wildly popular 'Gossip Girls'.
”...The second movie has become more about the actresses, which I think is a natural progression,” says Ann Brashares, author of the famed series, who has seen sales of her books jump as the movie nears its release. “But these actresses are intelligent young women to be proud of. I think they're going to be role models and they've really shouldered that beautifully...”

Blake Lively Won't Become a Party Girl
Published on: August 12, 2008Showbiz Spy has posted an interview with 'The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2' star Blake Lively. The 20 year old says she prefers the simpler things in life. She also mentions how clumsy she was on set, crashing a moped.
"I also jumped off a cliff and while I was crawling out (of the sea) - while I had a gimp knee - I stepped on a sea urchin and got, like, 42 sea urchin needles lodged in my foot."
