Bio

KRISTIN KREUK (Chun-Li), born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She acted in plays in high school, but her focus was on her schoolwork, not the stage. Fate came calling at the beginning of her senior year when a casting director looking for new talent for the Canadian series “Edgemont” tapped Kreuk for a starring role. It was her first professional audition. The next year, she landed the title role in the television movie “Snow White” for ABC opposite Miranda Richardson, and the lead role of Lana Lang on the WB series “Smallville” – all the while continuing on “Edgemont.” In addition to being a face of Neutrogena for six years, Kreuk performed a cameo in the film “Eurotrip” opposite Matt Damon, starred in the SciFi Channel miniseries “Earthsea” opposite Isabella Rossellini, and starred in the Canadian feature “Partition” opposite Jimi Mistry. With her time on “Smallville” coming to a close in its eighth season and STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI being released in the U.S. and Canada by Twentieth Century Fox in February 2009, Kreuk has been focused on her own passion project “Girls By Design” – a web portal devoted to uplifting and empowering young women. Kreuk currently resides in Vancouver, and when she’s not working enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with friends and her new puppy Dublin.
