Today a trailer for Steven Soderbergh's "The Informant" hit the web. The film centers on the true story of Mark Whitacre (Damon) and his surreal job as a corporate snitch in his company ADM on behalf of the FBI.  The film is based on the non-fiction bestseller of the same name which can be found here.

The story is  one of those bizarre cases of "that can only happen in a movie" type stories, but we all know that truth is stranger than fiction. Not only did Whitacre suffer from manic depressive disorder while working with the FBI, but he also implicated himself  as a corporate swindler during said informing and spent close to eight and a half years in a prison "camp" for multiple counts of fraud. Remember the pictures that surfaced online a few months ago with Matt Damon with a really bad moustache? Well the trailer for that movie has finally hit the net. You can take a look at the Steven Soderbergh directed movie, The Informant, down below. Based on a true story, the movie stars Damon as Mark Whitacre, an agri-industry executive who agrees to work with the FBI to crack an elaborate price-fixing scheme that is taking place at industry giant Archer Daniels Midland. The movie also stars former Quantum Leap headliner, Scott Bakula.

Seeing the trailer, it looks like this movie will have a bit of comedy built into what is a pretty serious story. Seems to have the same feeling of some other Soderbergh projects, most notably the three “Ocean’s” movies.
