Braden Jennings

Braden Jennings

In March of 1983, Jeff Jennings and Karen Jennings had one two many glasses or should I say bottles and made the best mistake of their lives in the back of a fake wood panel station wagon. And that mistake 9 months later would turn out to be, Braden-Jeffery Jennings. Said by the local papers to be the ugliest baby alive, some even think he wasn’t living, he was that ugly.

His first on camera experience was doing Steve Urkell impressions at family bbqs and birthdays. That gig was short lived. By age 12, he was on local television reporting news as well as another show, which no one but his mom’s friends would watch. He was later asked to leave the local TV station after thinking it would be fun to try and interview a horse for one whole episode. Producers asked him nicely to leave.

At age 13, he started his own film company called “Phat Beach Productions” named politely after a heavy set mean girl who lived down the street. His team filmed concerts and recosmetic surgeries such as botox, collagen and breast augmentations.

Before he was in a hit play written by Tom Slater called “King of the Castle” he was in musicals but he couldn’t sing or dance. His character of Jake in “King of the Castle” fit him well as he got to beat up on a nerdy kid and make out with a very hot girl, well 2 very hot girls just not at the same time.

But after being told that actors in Canada only make $13,000 a year in Canadian dollars. (At that time it would about $7,000 USD or 50,000 pesos)

He went to university, but shortly after was banned from all university events for getting the university to subsidize the weekend getaway ski trip (aka: his weekend long birthday party) for him and 60 friends.

After all this he bought a one way ticket to paradise. He landed in Fiji and was dropping in on double over head waves getting slammed in the jagged coral on the ocean floor. While training with the Fiji National Surf team, two weeks into his year long stay, stunt coordinator Tom Erickson took Braden Jennings and turned him into Braden-Jeffery Jennings doing stunts for the film “Boot Camp.”

He hooked up with one of the lead actresses and she suckered him into moving to Vancouver from Fiji to work in the film industry and has been doing so since.
