Synopsis

Michael Harding (Penn Badgley) returns home from military school to find his mother (Sela Ward) happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). As the two men get to know each other, Michael becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand. Is he really the man of her dreams or could David be hiding a dark side?

    You may recognize Dylan Walsh as the good brother in the FX Channel’s troubled-plastic-surgeon drama/comedy Nip\Tuck.  But for his most recent role as David Harris in The Stepfather remake Walsh got to shed his goodie-goodie role to play a homicidal maniac.  In the film, Michael Harding (Penn Badgley) returns home from military school to find his mother (Sela Ward) happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). As the two men get to know each other, Michael becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand. Is he really the man of her dreams or could David be hiding a dark side?

    “…It was great fun playing this, because in a given scene, I could be TWO guys, both versions of this man - the sweet guy who tries to take care of his 'family,' and then I turn away and the camera catches some sort of darkness that comes over my face. That is a good time for an actor!.."
