Bio

JULIE MELDAL-JOHNSEN has been with ITV since 2001 and she has worked across all parts of its content divisions since then, with stints in legal and business affairs in distribution, production and interactive/digital divisions. She moved to Los Angeles in 2005 to run ITV Studio’s TV movie acquisition business in the U.S. and to focus on exploiting the company’s extensive scripted catalogue through both feature and television series remakes in the US market. She is building ITV Studio’s scripted production business in the US, through its own development as well as by establishing partnerships with US producers of television, film and broadband content. ITV Studios currently has half a dozen feature projects in development including remakes of cult sci-fi series UFO, The Champions, The Persuaders and Capricorn One.
