With the combination of an all-star cast and crew along with moviegoers overwhelming enjoyment of mafia movies it appears that The Irishman is destined for smashing success!
Directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, screenwriter of Die Hard with a Vengeance and Jumanji, The Irishman stars: Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone), Christopher Walken (Catch Me If You Can), Val Kilmer (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), Vinnie Jones (Snatch), Paul Sorvino (Greetings from the Shore), Linda Cardellini (Brokeback Mountain) and Vincent D’Onofrio (The Narrows). The film is based on Rick Porrello’s self-published book To Kill an Irishman that tells the true life story of Danny Greene, an Irish-American mobster who takes on the La Cosa Nostra in a vicious and violent gang war that had the bodies piling up on the streets of Cleveland in the 1970s.  Keep an eye out for The Irishman’s theatrical debut in early 2010.
