Pruitt Taylor Vince is one of the industry's most versatile character actors. His eclectic resume boasts every film genre from horror and action, to art house drama. In addition, he has worked with some of the industry's most respected directors. Most recently he was seen in a recurring role on HBO's critically acclaimed DEADWOOD (2006), in the Keanu Reeves starrer CONSTANTINE (2005) and opposite Academy Award winner Charlize Theron in the compelling crime drama MONSTER (2003).

Some of Vince's other credits include the thriller IDENTITY (2003), for director James Mangold, Luis Mandoki's TRAPPED (2002), with Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon, SIMONE (2002), with Al Pacino, the independent film 13 MOONS (2002), with Steve Buscemi, THE CELL (2000), with Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn, Neil LaBute's NURSE BETTY (2000), and Lawrence Kasdan's comedy MUMFORD (1999). He won critical acclaim for his portrayal of a lovelorn cook in the 1995 film HEAVY, which won the Special Jury Prize at that year's Sundance Film Festival.

Vince received his first film break from director Alan Parker, who gave him a small part in ANGEL HEART (1987) and subsequently MISSISSIPPI BURNING (1988) and COME SEE THE PARADISE (1990). He has also worked with Academy Award-winning writer/director Oliver Stone in NATURAL BORN KILLERS (1994) and JFK (1991). Throughout his career he has appeared in over two dozen films including DOCTOR DOOLITTLE (1998), Wim Wenders THE END OF VIOLENCE (1997), Ted Demme's BEAUTIFUL GIRLS (1996), Robert Benton’s NOBODY'S FOOL (1994), CITY SLICKERS II: THE LEGEND OF CURLY'S GOLD (1994), JACOB'S LADDER (1990) for director Adrian Lyne, David Lynch's WILD AT HEART (1990), and Barbet Schroeder's BARFLY (1987).

He won an Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Guest Actor for his recurring role on the ABC drama Murder One and has appeared in several tele-films and miniseries presentations. His television credits include notable guest appearances on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Touching Evil, Alias, The Handler, The X-Files, The Marshal, Chicago Hope, Sisters, Quantum Leap, and Miami Vice.
